2024 SEASON
Hello Folks! 🤗
A few weeks ago I went to to Ontario to record F22 Raptors Stealth Fighter Jets, FA 18 Super Hornets, CF 18 Tactical Jets and more at the Airshow London 2025. It was a daunting project as security was quite tight for this show and nobody could get near the fields surrounding the airports for safety reasons, with blocked roads and police check-points you couldn't cross.
After some precious preparation studying the maps and scouting ahead for potential spots with my good friend Chris Pollard, we managed to pit ourselves just 500m away from the airfield on a farm's turf which the owner kindly agreed to have us for two days straight. No crowd, no music, no speaker, no traffic of any sorts and no forest or crops around. The best absolute best spot possible!
As luck always comes in a bundle, it just also happen that our spot was directly on the flight paths of all the jets who did most of their manoeuvres directly above my sets of mics, and we got invited over to an absolute dinner feast with the farmer's family. One couldn't be happier!
I guess we could say that Chance smiles at the audacious who dare provoking her!
Thanks for your support! 🤗

Hello Folks! 🤘
Here is a little recap of one of the most ecstatic weekend I ever had in Canada! 🏁🇨🇦
I couldn't have dreamt for much more, Dragsters, Pro Mods with between 4000-5000 HP racing against each other and even a Jet Dragster to top it off! And you want to know the best part about it? I'm still unscathed, my mics haven't blown off and held their SPL chiefly and I learned tons while having a blast!
I've never seen pilots with such calm and nerves of steel who can take that many Gs races after races without flinching. One particular pilot which I'm glad I have met @RobHorner particularly impressed me with his 10,001 Horse Power Jet Dragster which he launched at 236 MPH+(almost 400Km/h) in about less than 3 seconds. I'm sure in his previous job he was an Astronaut for the NASA! 🚀
I also want to thank the crew down at Napierville for that legendary weekend, and more in particular Ron, the Race Marshall who taught me so much and allowed me to capture such legendary pictures! This one is for you Ron! 🤘
In a couple weeks I'll go down to the Dragway once again to record the prized NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters racing on Nitro Methane with 12,000 HP each! I pray neither my ears, mics or engines/ pilots blow up and that the weather will be as good as it has been last weekend.
Thank you so much for your support and for kind messages I have received in previous videos, I love my job it is absolute thrill to do that pretty much every weekend! I'm living my best life! 🤩
Also I couldn't have done this without the support of my family, friends and mentors! Thanks for having my back and always being there! 😇

Hello Folks! 🤗
Here is a little recap of my latest Sound Adventure in Canada at the F1 Grand Prix of Montreal! 🏁🇨🇦
For the little story behind this event, I had only a regular ticket for that event and I had to quickly find a few good spots to record the sounds of both Porsche Carreras and F1 Pods.
I tried to speak with a lot of officials and security marshalls who all told me that I had to be "Press" to get closer to the cars, and I pretty much went all the length of the circuit to find that spot free from music and people, but eventually I was told off and had to come back to where I my original ticket place.
I was starting to accept my fate, but then one guy remembered I was some sound guy and he had spoken in the mean time with his security marshall about what I asked him before trying to find a good spot.
And luckily for me, when I came back he told me to follow him and he granted free passage to the press area even though I wasn't supposed to be there. And luck struck me second time as I was at the best spot possible 10 m close from the track, and I hope you like this little recap of what I captured that day!
Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more Folks! 🤘

WORLD WAR II WINGS
Hello Folks! 🤘
This is a small recap of my Field Recording adventures with the Aerodrome Ailes Anciennes de Lorraine (meaning “Old Lorraine Wings” in French)! 🎤
I had an absolute blast recording a 🇩🇪 Klemm 35 (1935 Luftwaffe) with my recorded MixPre-3 II and Sennheiser MKH8040's coupled with my Røde NTG-4 and LOM Geofon. I had also the chance to record a bit of a 🇺🇸 PT26 (1940's US Air Forces) well as a Boeing Stearman Model 75, but I focused mainly on the Klemm for it’s rarity (only 3 flying in Europe).
This was quite a challenge as I had never flown abord such warbirds beforehand. It was also tricky to record and film at the same time, and I almost lost my phone in the sky due to the strong wind gusts! 🌪️
AIR LEGEND WARBIRDS
Hello Folks! 🤘
A month ago I had the pleasure to record the sound of Top Fuel Dragsters, Pro Mods, Top Alcohol Dragsters, Supercharged, Hot Rods, Super Stocks cars and pretty much anything that can be overcooked and overcharged on 4 wheels!
With my good friends Mathieu Chastel and Mike Correa, Napierville Dragway had more Lock & Loaded Sound People than Photographs at the race pit for this 2nd NHRA Open, which was a first!
This day is one of the fondest Field Recording memory I have from this Summer. I also had the chance to meet and speak with @DanMercier and his crew. He is a Top Fuel Dragster Legend and Champion with a personal record of 527.86 km/h (circa 328 Mp/h) in 3.716 seconds recorded with both my MKH 8050-8030 MS and MKH 8040 ORTF rigs. Now this IS Pod Racing! Go Dan! 💪
I also want to thank Napierville Dragway for the great moments I had with Ronald, Ron, Dan, and everyone that worked at the track and who taught me so much about the races and cars. As one good friend of mine told me, it's a "New Passion Unlocked" and I have the deepest respect for all these pilots who give it all every weekend for a whole season and who are always the most humble and kindest of Folks to talk with at breaks. I genuinely feel I've been part of a big family of passionate people, and can't thank enough all of whom I spent so many fun hours recording with.
It's also a huge milestone for me as I've been recording more than 2500+ sound effects for both cars and aircrafts this summer for various projects which I will soon be able to unveil to you.
I also highly recommend young field recordists and sound designers alike to team up with other sound people and to go out and record whatever is around you. It's so much fun! 😁
None of this would have been possible without my family's, friends' and your support! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have never felt more alive than now! 🤘

Hello Folks! 🤘
This is another of my 2024 Warbirds adventures with this time up to 390 min of Legendary Warbirds pass-bys. Jets, Propeller Planes of all sizes and armies, from the most iconic war eras in our modern history with perfect weather!😎
For three days straight not far from the planes track, I managed to record with my trusty MixPre-3 II, MKH8040’s and NTG4 some P-38 Lightning, P40 Mustang, P51D Mustang, Corsairs, Spitfire, DC3, Vampire DH 100, Mig-15, F-86 Sabre, T-6, A400M, and so many other aircrafts pass bys!
I also learned a dire lesson: never forget to bring hats and suncream to avoid turning into a boiled crawfish 🦞 after the sound hunt is over! 😅
Warbirds have always been for me one of the most fascinating peaces of aeronautics there can be. Some of them like the T6, P-40, Corsairs and Spitfires have almost an animal predator sounding traits! True gems for Sound Designers such as myself! 🎧

Hello Folks! 🤘
After the warbirds season, it’s time for a little change and for that I decided to merge both my passion for sound and the love I have nature and hiking. 🏔️
The goal for this four-part project was to capture the most magical soundscapes in 96Khz-24Bits from my “Heimat” Vosgian Mountains and make it available for the world.
For that, I carry up to 15kg of gears in my Hiking Bagpack and roam the mountains off-track to avoid as much as possible human interactions that could ruin great recordings.
For that these journeys, I recorded with my MixPre-3 II & Zoom F3 and used my MKH840’s in ORTF together with a set of Basic Ucho set in A-B either facing the same direction at different distances or in opposite direction to capture as much of how it feels to be standing there! Later on, I blend these mics together to taste in 96Khz-24 Bits stereo. 🎙️
I’ve also tested the new MKH8030 figure 8 microphone together with a MKH8040 with my MS rig and I’m very impressed by how well they blend together. 🎯
All this gear is packed in a Forclaz Trekk bagpack which was I’m sure, designed for Field Recordists as I have all the space I need to carry both food, water and gear!
As a Vosgian born and raised, I love nature and hiking in big landscapes surrounded by mountains. Autumn offers the most eerie lights and colours here. It’s also a season of strong winds and bad weather so I always keep an eye the weather forecast beforehand! 🌦️
It is also an opportunity to make people realise that the Vosges Mountains are more than meets the eye, and that if you pay attention to the sound of nature surrounding you, you will find yourself in a magical world that can only be found in J.R.R Tolkien books!
Nature is very important here and I wanted to do my part in preserving its beautiful soundscapes!
Please enjoy these smalls recaps for Part I, II, III & IV of my adventures to Vosges Mountain Summits! 🎧

Hello Folks! 🤘
I’ve recently moved to Canada, Quebec to follow my passion for Sound and I had the chance to record Extreme Racing Cars like Fuel Dragsters, Jet Dragsters, Doorslammers, Harley Davidson Jet Dragsters and other vehicles of that Hellish kind, and here is a few pictures and footage of my adventure down at Napierville Dragway in Quebec.
For this project, I’ve recorded a wide range of vehicles in 192Khz-32 Bit Float with two of the following rigs:
A Mid Side rig with a MKH 416 & MKH 8030 in a MK2 Blimp (linked with a Dual 3p XLR (Female) to 5p XLR (Male) into a MixPre-3 II recorder, to capture all the iddles, revvings, burn outs and take-offs.
An ORTF rig with a pair of MKH 8040’s into a Zoom F3, to get all the pass byes, distant take-offs and distant decelerations, placed at the medium length of the track.
I’ve also used for the first time a Go Pro 13 to capture what I recorded that day and better identify every vehicle I record (which I can later on google from pictures or ask the drivers when I have the chance to).
Dragsters and others are Extreme types of vehicles you don’t commonly encounter every day, and can serve as an excellent “reality grounding” base layer for Sound Designers when they want to create Sci Fi vehicles. Being a huge Star Wars fan, one can easily remember the absolute thrill of the Pod Race in the Phantom Menace and the absolute eargasmic Sound Design of the spacecrafts racing and thrashing each other at the Buntha Eve.
I tried to tap into that fond memory and record anything that had a significative character, which could fit in that universe, as main source of inspiration for this project.
I hope you like it! 🤗
Hello Folks! 🤗
Spring is already here where I live and here are two little recaps of my latest Field Recording adventures.
I tested out different mic combinations and technique to record bees both outside and inside the Beehive Chalet.
As some of you know, I love wildlife and as a Honey-Maker myself, I wanted to show my Beehive House to also stress on the importance of protecting all pollinator insects, such as Bees, Hornets, Bumblebees, Wasps, Mosquitos, Flies and so many others who are absolutely capital to the survival of Life on Earth.
And for those who love to eat fresh honey, support your local Honey Makers (even in cities there are Honey-Makers believe it or not!), short-circuit is always a win for you, for the honey-makers, for the local bees and for the planet! 🍯
I hope you like it! 🐝
